KIBU Kicks off the 6th Annual Career and Cultural Week in Style

It was one of the very eventful activity in the campus as it was the initial day of the 6th Career and Cultural Week 2019. This year’s theme is Embracing Cultural Diversity for National Cohesion, Innovation and Holistic Development.
Gospel artiste and worship leader Gloria Muliro and Reuben Kigame who is a gospel music artiste were the invited guests for the first day, which was an interdenominational service. Miss Muliro led the university staff and students in praise and worship before a keynote speech on cultural diversity by Rev. Reuben Kigame.
The event was streamed live on the Twitter and Facebook pages of the university. Keeping in mind that social media has become a must use tool by corporate organizations on a day to day basis.
Before the guests left, the Kibabii University Journalism Club had an exclusive interview with Miss Gloria Muliro and Rev. Kigame. Nahashon Juma (Host) delved deeper into their personal experiences by asking questions which most people want to know about the gospel musicians.
The day ended by cultural performances displaying different cultures from different social divides. These included the Swahili, Ameru, the Kamba, Gikuyu, the Luhya, the Kalenjin and Pokot cultures
In addition, the 6th edition of the Cultural Week Football Tournament began on the same day with 7 participating teams. Today, 7 seven matches were played at the group stages of the tournament. More matches are set to be played on Thursday and Friday. Semifinals and the final match will be played on Saturday.
