Simiyu Collins

SOKU Chairperson

I candidly take this democratic airtime to thank Almighty God for the victory, Comrades fraternity for the trust you bestowed in me as your second SOKU CHAIRPERSON under the new constitution and most precisely my competitor for its him that I was regarded the winner, I was only but the first between equals. Its now my pleasure to join hands with each and every comrade within the varsity to fix challenges facing us and making our varsity great again.
I consider assuring you that you did not elect a hyena to take care of your goats but a servant leader ready to embrace all of you. I will do my best for the interest of the comrades factoring and prioritizing the manifestos I gave during my campaigns and the divergent challenges & demands that will in any way intrude comrade’s peace. I believe that presidency is not a daily routine job thus expecting a myriad of challenges then therefore I call upon all comrades to stand out and collectively bargain for what is rightly ours. Yes, sympathy is not a raw material for success.

‘Where purpose is not known, abuse is envitable. Let me now mention academics the prime object justifying our stay at Kibabii university, much has been done considering the university age but its evident and pronounced that there is a big room for improvement, I then therefore call upon the comrades fraternity to embrace the flagship programs, developing centres of excellence, research, library facility utilization and most important our co-curriculum activities. We should therefore work as a unit to provide a conduive environment for them to be achieved. True, knowledge is power.

“Leaders must build consensus see things from perspectives of the others and promote co-operation eliminating conflicts” Daniel coleman. Finally, I wish to confirm that you did not purchase a tuktuk at the expense of a benz, I shall all the time maintain my bargain for the interest of the comrades. To the management, I must let know that I was not elected to work for you but with you for the benefit of comrades therefore I ask you to support my leadership for effective execution of services to the electorates and for the benefit of Kibabii University. God bless comrades. God Bless Kibabii University!
